Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Charitable Society for Computer Rehabilitation (Irtiqaa), and the agreement was signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Saad Al-Ahmad, and on the part of the Association, its acting executive director, Mr. Omar bin Khalid Al-Shaibani.

Under the auspices of the Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Prof. Nouf bint Abdul Ali Al-Ajmi The first introductory meeting of Bonyan Association for Social Services was held today, Wednesday, 1444/11/4 AH, in the support hall of Building (412) in King Abdullah City for Female Students, in the presence of members of the association, university vice presidents, employees and students.

The meeting began with a speech delivered by Ms. Turkia bint Faris Al-Fares, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Association, in which she explained that Bonyan Association for Social Services seeks to bridge the social and economic gap for the beneficiary groups and society, and empower them through a number of programs, activities and initiatives. Ms. Al-Fares added that "my goal from this message is to communicate the idea to all businessmen, donors and volunteers, to develop families intellectually and not financially, and to reduce random donation that supports the exploitation and manipulation of families and not to disburse aid to those who deserve it from needy families."

Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University signs memorandum of cooperation with health charity to care for 

Riyadh, 17 Ramadan 1442 AH corresponding to April 29, 2021 AD, Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, represented by the College of Information and Communication, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sanad Charitable Association to support children with cancer.

The memorandum aims to use the media and communication expertise that the college possesses within the framework of social responsibility, and to support charitable and humanitarian institutions, as Sanad Association is one of the first providers of charitable work.

The memorandum was signed by His Highness Prince Dr. Saad bin Saud bin Muhammad, Dean of the College of Media and Communication at the university, and Her Royal Highness Princess Adela bint Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Sanad Charitable Society. 

Bank Albilad has signed a cooperation agreement to provide multiple financial services with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU). The agreement is aimed at providing innovative and facilitated financial services including providing financing for post-graduate and outstanding students. The agreement was signed by Mr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Onaizan, the CEO of Bank Albilad, on the part of Bank Albilad, and Prof. Ahmad bin Salem Al-Ameri, rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, on the part of the university.

Mr. Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Al-Onaizan, the CEO of Bank Albilad, stated, “The relationship with Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) is a strategic one, as this agreement includes new means of support with the aim of contributing to the development of national cadres and providing opportunities for students through offering innovative and facilitated financing programs and products to fit with the income of both male and female students.

On his part, prof. Ahmad bin Salem Al-Ameri, rector of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, stated, “The university is one of the educational institutions that has superior status in the Kingdom. I hope that this memorandum will benefit male and female students, as the university is keen on facilitating the process of applying for its programs for all male and female students.”

Prof. Ahmad Al-Ameri concluded his speech, saying, "We hope that Bank Albilad will be a strategic partner for the university in its various activities, regarding various areas of investment, and providing community services and community partnership in a way that benefits both the university and the bank.”

The agreement contributes to finding financing solutions offered to university students wishing to complete their paid postgraduate studies, such as (diploma, master’s, and doctoral programs) in return for easy installments, and with a profit margin of 0%. On the last Thursday, H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has inked a cooperation agreement with Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Philanthropic Foundation “MiSK” on the volunteering works and activities.

Commending the signed agreement, H.E. the university Rector has revealed that, the agreement well contribute largely in realizing the Saudi Vision 2030 and cultivating the non-profit field and raise the skills of volunteers. It will also help in achieving the strategic related objectives of Al-Imam University and MiSK, especially in training volunteers and officials of the humanitarian and social service fields.  This agreement, also, aims to cooperate in identifying the priorities of the community needs in the fields of humanitarian, social, cognitive, and cultural work, added Dr. Aba Al-Khail.

Shedding more lights on the inked agreement, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has clarified that, the most cooperation areas of it is the academical training, specialized and cooperative ones, programs, Additionally, the studies and research that serve the other party including Sharia and regulatory programs, social programs, developmental programs, humanitarian awareness, and statistics. The agreement will contribute, also, in developing the volunteering product and sharpening its deliverables, throughout innovative tools like activating the smart applications, media, cultivating the roles of the governmental sectors and increasing the numbers of the volunteers, added Dr. Aba Al-Khail.

Concluding his words, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has acknowledged the efforts and contributions of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, in bringing success and determination to community and its people.

In the sidelines, Mr. Bader Al-Asaker, Secretary-General of MiSK Foundation, has stated that, the signed agreement with Al-Imam University will focus on developing communities and cultivating its capabilities through education, training, and non-profit activities. He clarified the readiness of his foundation to put the signed agreement into force immediately.

From his side, Dr. Bader Al-Wahhibi, Dean of Deanship of Studies of Volunteering Work, has said that the inked agreement is a source of pride to his administration, as it the first ever deanship amongst the Saudi universities. He revealed, additionally, that his administration has signed recently a number of agreements with many entities aiming to organize and unified the efforts and contributions of volunteering works, and to increase the volunteers’ numbers from eleven thousand to one million volunteers.

Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has patronized lastly a signature ceremony of “Collaboration Agreement” for operating centers of teaching Arabic Language between Deanship of Institutes Abroad Affairs and Educational Charity Fund.

In statements after the signature ceremony, Dr. Al-Fawzan has commended the step which will definitely reflects the due care of Quran language to non-native Arabic language speakers.

From his side, Dr. Abdullah Al-Salami, Dean of Sharia Institutes Affairs, has stated that, his administration will exert more focused efforts to bring success to the university mission and vision.

In a similar vein, Dr. Abdullah Ar-Razain, CEO of the Educational Charity Fund, has said that, the fund is currently working to open new centres of teaching Arabic Language at Republic of Indonesia according the accredited diplomas programs of the university.

Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The National Project Management, Operation, and Maintenance Organization in Public Entities (Mashroat).

The MoU was signed in the presence of Director of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University Dr. Ahmad bin Salem Al-Ameri, Assistant to the Minister of Economy and Planning H.E Khalid bin Saud Al-Shenaifi, General Supervisor of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University’s Technical Affairs Eng. Shafi bin Quaid Al-Qahtani, Director-General of Mashroat Ahmed bin Mutair Al-Balawi and a number of the university’s senior officials. 

The MoU is an important development for Mashroat given the large number of education facilities within Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University. The MoU will ensure facility management is carried out to the international standards set by Mashroat. 

Under the terms of the MoU, Mashroat will provide support as the university updates its facility management systems. It will begin by introducing a new electronic management system which will include data on maintenance and operations. It will also register and evaluate work carried out and introduce a performance indicator panel. 

Mashroat will also organize workshops for staff on the National Guidelines for Facility and Assets Management. They will be aimed at upskilling the university’s administrative personnel.        

Director of Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Dr. Ahmad bin Salem Al-Ameri welcomed the partnership which will enable the university to apply best practice and enhance its facility management eco-system, “Partnering with Mashroat is an essential step for all government entities as they work to manage their projects and facilities to best international standards. 

“Through this MoU Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University is the first Saudi academic institution to adopt the Mashroat program. It will enable us to benefit from Mashroat’s expertise and experience to provide sustainable impact on our development programs.”

“The university manages 69 scientific institutions and 20 academic facilities across the Kingdom and the partnership with Mashroat will ensure they are run efficiently. The improved management of our facilities will also enhance the education services we provide for our 185,000 students.”

Director-General of Mashroat, Ahmed bin Mutair Al-Balawi said, “Based on this MoU, which is the first agreement signed with a Saudi university, we seek to support and empower Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University to apply best practice in the operation and maintenance of its facilities management.”

The National Project Management, Operation, and Maintenance Organization in Public Entities (Mashroat) is the state's enabling arm for infrastructure projects. He added that the fund's main tasks are to establish channels that attract financial resources, to publicize what the Fund offers its importance and development role, in addition to building an integrated administrative and accounting organization, attracting appropriate competencies, identifying educational programs and enabling grant students to join them, and organizing the fund's disbursements in accordance with the regulations.

Abba al-Khail pointed out that Imam University has formed a board of directors for the Educational Charitable Fund to take over the task of strategic planning of the Fund and general supervision of its performance, and all matters related to the affairs of the Fund and in a manner that does not conflict with the general regulations of the university, including: the approval of strategic and operational policies and plans and others that will achieve the objectives of the Fund, as well as the adoption of the internal rules of the Fund, the establishment or modification of administrative units based on the requirements of the Labor Department, in addition to the formation of the advisory body of the Fund and the adoption of its members, and the proposal to conclude agreements on the establishment of administrative units or amendments based on the requirements of the Labor Department, in addition to the formation of the advisory body of the Fund and the adoption of its members, as well as the proposal to conclude agreements. 

Scientific and charitable cooperation with similar bodies in the Kingdom, as well as recommending the acceptance of donations and wills in a manner that does not conflict with the basic purpose of the Fund and with the regulations in force in Saudi Arabia, in addition to appointing three national figures with full know-how in charitable work and the educational field, pointing out that the Council holds its regular meetings twice every semester to see the work of the Fund and submit proposals for the development of the Fund for the better, stressing the commitment to relevant policies and procedures.

Abba al-Khayal said the fund will be managed by a faculty member who specializes in the field of the Fund and is experienced and administratively competent, implements the strategy adopted by the Board of Directors and is accountable to the Board of Directors and the University.

As for what the Fund aims to do, Abba Al Khayal said the fund aims to provide financial resources, through the tracks that attract financial resources and introduce the fund and its importance and development role, build an integrated administrative and accounting organization, attract appropriate competencies, organize the fund's disbursements in accordance with the regulations, and is considered one of the first initiatives to organize scholarship programs for the children of the Islamic world to study at the university, and provide all support and care for their educational and living conditions through the fund's resources. Verified donations, commandments and endowments directed to support the education of the children of the Muslim world.

"Perhaps it is appropriate when we talk about the kingdom's efforts to educate the children of Muslims through scholarships provided by Saudi universities, led by Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University, to shed light on some of the kingdom's concrete efforts to promote the Word of God, and what matters to Muslims and the interests of Islam and Muslims in various parts of the world, and because these efforts are diverse, multiple and comprehensive , so that they are difficult to explore in their entirety," he said. In this report, we will limit ourselves to mentioning images and examples of some of the kingdom's efforts to serve Islam and Muslims in the regions and regions of the earth, including: Teaching the children of the Muslim world the Holy Quran, expanding the Two Holy Mosques, and Islamic centers).

Reference to the Saudi Cabinet resolution No 94 dated 29/03/1431 H, which stipulates the rules and regulations for the non-Saudi scholarship students, that clearly codifies the creation of charitable funds within the educational institutions. And as article (9-E) specifying that: “Establishing a charitable fund at every educational institution to support scholarship programs, that financing by donations, contributions, gifts, wills and endowments as well as allocated funds within budgets”.

To underscore the university responsibility to discharge its pioneering role within the educational process in the community, it was proposed the founding of the educational charitable fund with separate powers to regulate the scholarship programs and help scholarship students to enroll at the specified academic programs. The fund will work on collecting resources and financial mounts generated from donations, contributions, gifts, wills and endowments, and administer and direct them towards backing scholarship programs.

Student fund was founded during the academic year of 1397/1398 H when the deanship of student affairs has considered it’s important to found a service to serve students whom their social conditions requires support or others whom emergency circumstances facing them. With a view to let necessitous student feel a spirit of Islamic social solidarity and then help him/her to more academic and study efforts as the university officials are always keenness to provide a stability for them.

The first cornerstone of the fund was the issuance of the university supreme council’s decision No 18 during the second regular meeting in 18/03/1397 H that approved the establishment of the fund. The said decision was clearly crafted the fund and its objectives as it for the charitable student purposes which not covered by the university annual budget as well as supporting needy students. The financing of the fund would be from the contributions of the students themselves and donations. Additional rules for the perfect works of the fund have also been identified by the decision.

A series of decisions issued by the university council had been followed for the rearrangement of the student’s contributions rate and the fund allocated for each college and Sharia institute, the undergraduate student contribution mounted-up from two Saudi Riyals to ten and the contribution of the Sharia institute’s student also increased from two Saudi Riyals to five.

Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Mahmoud, Vice-Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University for Educational Affairs, has received at his office a delegation from General Directorate of Scholarships - Ministry of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman. Welcoming the guests, Dr. Al-Mahmoud was kept them abreast about the university role in disseminating Islamic and Arabic sciences through its various sharia and Arabic colleges and institutes.

He noted that, the visit of the Omani delegation is a great opportunity to cooperate and cement the mutual academic relations between Al-Imam University and General Directorate of Scholarships at Sultanate of Oman. He further stated that, Al-Imam University has always been receiving due care form King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince H.R.H. Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz and Deputy Crown H.R.H. Prince Muhammad bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.

The conclusion of the third phase of the "Maharat" program

The Educational Charitable Fund, in cooperation with the Agency for Scholarship Affairs at the Deanship of Student Affairs, concluded the “Maharat” program.

Educational Charitable Fund

Reference to the Saudi Cabinet resolution No 94 dated 29/03/1431 H, which stipulates the rules and regulations for the non-Saudi scholarship students, that clearly codifies the creation of charitable funds within the educational institutions. And as article (9-E) specifying that: “Establishing a charitable fund at every educational institution to support scholarship programs, that financing by donations, contributions, gifts, wills and endowments as well as allocated funds within budgets”.

To underscore the university responsibility to discharge its pioneering role within the educational process in the community, it was proposed the founding of the educational charitable fund with separate powers to regulate the scholarship programs and help scholarship students to enroll at the specified academic programs. The fund will work on collecting resources and financial mounts generated from donations, contributions, gifts, wills and endowments, and administer and direct them towards backing scholarship programs.

Student fund was founded during the academic year of 1397/1398 H when the deanship of student affairs has considered it’s important to found a service to serve students whom their social conditions requires support or others whom emergency circumstances facing them. With a view to let necessitous student feel a spirit of Islamic social solidarity and then help him/her to more academic and study efforts as the university officials are always keenness to provide a stability for them.

The first cornerstone of the fund was the issuance of the university supreme council’s decision No 18 during the second regular meeting in 18/03/1397 H that approved the establishment of the fund. The said decision was clearly crafted the fund and its objectives as it for the charitable student purposes which not covered by the university annual budget as well as supporting needy students. The financing of the fund would be from the contributions of the students themselves and donations. Additional rules for the perfect works of the fund have also been identified by the decision.

A series of decisions issued by the university council had been followed for the rearrangement of the student’s contributions rate and the fund allocated for each college and Sharia institute, the undergraduate student contribution mounted-up from two Saudi Riyals to ten and the contribution of the Sharia institute’s student also increased from two Saudi Riyals to five.

King Abdulaziz University also concluded over 25 agreements with world colleges and research centers. King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals established strategic and cooperative links with global institutions and local centers. The number of active agreements reached more than 21. The National Center for e-learning and distance education has contracted with a global think tank and had a successful encounter with Meteor Group, Malaysia. 

C) Support for programs at some universities through contracting with outstanding teachers and Nobel Prize winners scientists. Saudi universities seek to attract outstanding researchers and professors to teach and supervise postgraduate students. For example, King Saud University signed service contracts with 14 Nobel Prize winning scientists. King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals has also attracted a group of outstanding foreign professors.

D) Support for the establishment of international advisory boards at some universities. Their philosophy is based on attracting distinguished global advisors and benefiting from them to develop the university. For example, King Fahd and King Abdulaziz Universities created each International Advisory Board and organized many advisory meetings for these boards.

E) Development of the innovation and excellence project for the faculty members. The Ministry had embarked on the project the previous year through contracting with some universities and outstanding trainers at foreign universities. It also established partnerships with international houses of expertise to provide qualified trainers for the program this year. For example, 1- Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University contracted with the University of Pennsylvania, USA, De Bono Thinking Center and New England University, Australia. Kin Saud University contracted with Oregon State University, USA, Centre for University Teaching, University of Ottawa and POD Network in HE. As for King Fahd University, it contracted with the University of Illinois, USA, York University, Canada, and the University of Kansas, USA.

Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University is organizing the first forum for government and private bodies concerned with educating scholarship students from outside the Kingdom, under the title: “The Efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Educating Foreign Scholarship Students.” Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Razeen, Dean of Community Service and Continuing Education and Executive Director of the Educational Charitable Fund, said that the forum will start tomorrow after the approval of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, and under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Anqari, while it is being organized by the Educational Charitable Fund at Imam University.
