IMAMU University contributes to tackle the SDG 16 leading by example, promoting organizational best practices related to governance. The General Council is the body of strategic decision and supervision and consists of various members including teaching staff and researchers, students, non-academic and non-research staff member. Through its Academic Units it offers specialized courses, general education, upskilling and capacity-building to policy and lawmakers on relevant topics including economics, law, technology, climate change
The university continuously supports and offers research plans motivating its students to grow in this aspect, in addition to training academically prepared personnel, it also trains good people with values forged throughout their entire career, transparency is a fundamental characteristic of said institution, Therefore, they always seek to form community support groups or activities that strengthen the desire to support and grow their community.
The Vice Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students Affairs organized the introductory program for student clubs to identify their affiliated clubs on Thursday, September 30 at King Abdullah City for Female Students Building (326).
The program aims to introduce students to the student clubs affiliated to the Deanship of Student Affairs for Female Students Affairs to join these clubs and activate them within the university and to identify the clubs developed for this semester, namely: (Rawa Volunteer Club, Multilingual Club, Sports Club), through the introductory pillars of the clubs, namely:
Rawa Volunteer Club aims to activate the volunteer work of the university students and enhance the prospects of participation that are academically and scientifically appropriate in the fields of community service.
Multilingual Club aims to open horizons for thinking and looking forward to a fruitful and ambitious future for students by learning multiple languages, investing in what achieves success and progress for them by providing a suitable environment for the practice of languages, and helping them to follow the passion in learning and mastering languages.
Sports Club aims to spread cultural sports awareness, create an atmosphere of intimacy among students and encourage them to practice sports, and sports competition between colleges in the university city for female students, through the provision of recreational sports activities within the university such as the establishment of sports activities and competitions.
And also to identify the (Environment Club), which aims to introduce students to the reality of organic agriculture and protect it from any wrong practice, and maintain a clean, pure and healthy environment, to promote the profession of agriculture and develop this activity, whose vision contributes to building a healthy environment free of pollution and a conscious and participatory society, as well as activating several programs and events including: (An event entitled: (World Green Economy Day), and a meeting entitled: (Cancer and the geography of the place), a meeting entitled: (Foundations of agriculture and the upbringing of a home garden with Sumy Park), and the participation of the club in (World Breast Cancer Day) and the club looks forward to participating in the World Days.
H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has patronized recently a symposium entitled “Contributions of King Abdullah in Realizing International Peace” organized by UNESCO research chair for interfaith dialogue, affiliated research chair with Al-Imam University research chair program.
Addressing the session, H.E. the university rector has stated that, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a country of peace simply because it relies on righteous Islamic belief and worship since it had founded by Late King Abdulaziz bin Abdul-Rahman. “Saudi Arabia has keenness to spread the spirit of peace internally and externally through a moderate and balanced path. Sons of late King Abdulaziz has followed his majesty pace, until the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, who has adopted sincerity, loyalty, frankness and contemporary concepts in all areas that serving Islam and homeland. King has waste no time or effort to enrich the international relations and realizing concepts of peace and security”, added he.
From his side, Prof. Dr. Abdullah Al-Refai, Dean of Media and Communication College and who doubles as Principal of UNESCO Research Chair, has stated that, the symposium has consisted of many themes including; “Efforts of King Abdullah in Dialogue and Terrorism Combating Area”, “Initiatives of King Abdullah in Achieving International Cultural Communication”, “Contributions of Saudi Arabia in International Relations Area”, and “Role of King Abdullah in Spreading International Security Principles”.
On the last days, H.E. Mr. Ikramov Muzraf, Justice Minister of Republic of Uzbekistan, has paid an official visit to the premises of the supreme Jurisdiction Institute of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
Welcoming him while arriving, Dr. Abdullah Al-Teriaki, Dean of the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute, has kept him, and the accompanying delegation members, abreast about the institute and its functions and the academic programs that offered by the institute.
In a similar vein, Mr. Ikramov Muzraf has voiced his satisfactions and happiness about what he has noticed and seen at the premises of the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute.
Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has chaired on the last days the meeting of the Consultancy Council of the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute.
On the meeting significance, Dr. Al-Fawzan has stated that, the university is concerns to lend a helping hand to all the related justice organs, as it often wasting no efforts to realize the aspirations of the wised rulers of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
In a similar vein, Dr. Abdullah Al-Teraiki, Dean of the Supreme Jurisdiction Institute, has pointed out that, his administration’s vision depends on the progressing of the Saudi judiciary system throughout preparing and qualifying the distinctive officers of the judiciary system, and brushing-up their capabilities. He, additionally, added that, the Institute is keens to provide the suitable educational environment, and keeping pace with the latest academic and research developments, as well as taking advantages from the international experiences and extensive knowledge.
It is worth to mention that, the meeting of the advisory council has attended by Dr. Fahd Al-Majid from the General Presidency of Fatwa, and Dr. Meshal Al-Asker from the Supreme Judiciary Council, and Dr. Khaled Al-Lihedan from the Supreme Court, and Sheikh Yusuf Al-Farag from Ministry of Justice, and Dr. Khaled Al-Khudair from the Board of Grievances, and Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Sudairi from the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
H.E. Dr. Azaam Al-Dakhail, Saudi Minister of Education, has inaugurated on the last Sunday the opening ceremony of Conference of Judiciary and Arbitration, which organized by Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University representing by Supreme Institute of Jurisdiction, at the hall of Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Twajiri.
In significance with the opening ceremony agenda, H.E. Hugo Hans Siblesz, Secretary-General of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, which located at Hague, Netherlands, has expressed his happiness to share a success by attending the conference’s sessions.
Dr. Fawzan bin Abdul-Rahman Al-Fawzan, Acting Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, has gave a speech reaffirming the idea of holding such a spectacular academic gathering at Al-Imam University, which often seeks to benefit the community with each and every ideas and efforts. “The conference is holding in tandem with the Saudi Arbitration Team. It aims to show the integral role of Judiciary and arbitration as an effective alternative mean of resolving disputes, which will reduce the pressure imposed on courts. Additionally, to enhance a closer cooperation and exchange expertise among specialists in justice and arbitration areas; and lastly to unite the efforts related to developing justice and arbitration mechanisms in light of modern technology acceleration”, added Dr. Al-Fawzan.
Following that, Prince Dr. Bander bin Salman bin Muhammad Al Saud, the advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has hailed the organizing of the conference by Al-Imam University. Its significance emerged from the fact that, it mainly shedding lights on the tied relation between Judiciary in Islamic Law and its implementation mechanisms. It also sheds lights on Arbitration as an auxiliary to judiciary and not adversary to it, adding Prince Bander. “Saudi Arabian since its establishment has adopted Sharia Islamic Law as a key law to all its matters, and judiciary is the foundation for justice and arbitration is one of the method to solving people’s disputes”, pointed out he.
At the end of the opening ceremony, Dr. Al-Dakhail has delivered some souvenirs to the participant organs at the conference.
