Contribute in developing and upgrading CE program to meet the requirements of VISION 2030 of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.Â

Assess the level of achievement of our student outcomes and provide consultation for its improvement.
Serve as an active link between the department and the industry.
Assist in exploring the possibilities of department-industry collaboration.Â
Responsibilities of the Industrial Advisory Board:
a) Head of the Committee:Â
Arrange meetings with the respective members and write minutes of meetings/reports i.e. actions taken, actions planned, status of assigned tasks, etc.
Prepare and maintain a proper record (hard and/or soft copies) of all the relevant documents.
Coordinate and provide required documents to other committees, focus groups, program coordinator or chairman, when necessary.Â
b) General Responsibilities:Â
Arrange meetings with the IAB committee members (once every semester).
Prepare a Summary Report (minutes of meeting, action plans, actions taken, etc.) and submit to the Program Coordinator.
Objectives of the AAB:Â
Promote the communication, growth, and shared activities of the IMSIU Civil Engineering alumni, faculty, and students to attain the goals and objectives of the Department.
Serve as a liaison for the Department's current students to the professional world.
Provide insights into how well the department is meeting the civil engineering needs of the future, and knowledge of current trends in the civil engineering industry, including suggestions for keeping the curriculum and programup-to-date.

Academic consultation is an academic, educational, and social service. It aims at identifying the problems that hinder student's ability for academic achievement, especially at adapting with university life and life in general. It also aims at helping and encouraging students to work harder to solve their academic, educational, and psychological problems.
Objectives:
Inform students of university and College regulations and help them fully benefit from available programs and guide them to the best studying methods and memorization techniques.
Help students select a major that meets their talents, abilities and tendencies and relate them to society's needs, as well as enlighten them of available educational and vocational opportunities and their related admission conditions
Raise awareness in university community (student, instructor, and administration) in general about goals and tasks of academic consultation and its role in the educational process.
Solve all problems (academic, educational, or psychological) which students face, or would face, during their studies, and find proper solutions that guarantee better academic achievement.
Follow-up reports of students' progress through their studies and evaluation, and help those having academic problems for better achievement levels.
Discover talents, abilities, and tendencies of outstanding students and direct them for the students' benefit in particular and society in general.

She is associated with the deanship's scholarship affairs agent and aims to provide social welfare and mentoring services to scholarship students through its various administrative units, overseeing the activities departments, guidance and guidance, the department of caring for the gifted and the outstanding, and the alumni department.

Receiving new students and providing their most important housing and nutrition needs in coordination with the relevant authorities.
Providing generous care to grant students psychologically, socially, scientifically and culturally.

The academic guidance in the college helps students to understand the system of study provided in the academic guidance, tests and executive rules issued by the university regarding this regulation. It also provides knowledge about the students' rights and duties, as well as helping them to overcome the problems or obstacles that may affect their academic achievement.

In order to meet its role in serving students, Academic Guidance Office, attributing with Deanship of Admission and Registration, has arranged recently at King Abdullah City for Female Students "KACFS" an "Induction Week" about the office and its offering services.
With a target to enlighten female students about their rights and responsibilities, the induction activities included disseminating counselling and introductory elements at the lobby of buildings (326-323-324) at KACFS. Among these elements, visual display screens briefly outline the office's services and the rights of female students and graduation requirements and other issues.
It is worth to mention that, the arranged induction week is effectively one of the many responsibilities of the deanship, which extends its impact on female students during their academic careers.
Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, representing by its Deanship of Information Technology, has recently honoured and won the IT Application Project of the Year - Enterprise Service Bus Project, at the second .GOV Awards Saudi Arabia, which are presenting to government organizations and IT professionals in recognition of their achievements in driving the digital transformation of the Kingdom.
Commending the historic achievement, Dr. Waleed Abdulaziz Al-Jandal, Dean of Deanship of Information Technology, has congratulated H.E. Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and all members of the university community on the accomplished achievement.
In coincidence with the award, Dr. Al-Jandal has furthered that, the second version of .GOV Awards Saudi Arabia attracted a strong field of nominations, reflecting the diversity of the use of technology among government entities in the Kingdom. The gained award reflects the distinguished efforts and business of IT Deanship during the last period, as it always seeks continuously to offer the best-in-class services and technological tools and solutions to all units and administrations of the university, added Dr. Al-Jandal.
In respect of the won application, Enterprise Service Bus Project, Dr. Al-Jandal has clarified that, it comprehensively integrates all components of the female students’ service bus project and automating its processes smoothly base on service-oriented architecture (SOA) through a communication protocol over a network.
It is worth to mention that, the .GOV Awards were established by ITP Technology's .Gov magazine in 2015, to recognise the achievements of the public sector in the field of ICT in and Saudi Arabia. Moreover, to honour the outstanding efforts by the public sector in the GCC to use the power of technology to deliver innovative and engaging government services.
Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has praised lastly Deanship of Information Technology after achieving the Gold Excellence Award of the Arab e-Government Excellence Award for the Transportation Software "Naqel" at the official ceremony held at Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, recently.
The honour event has come during the reception of H.E. the University Rector, at his office here, to Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Saghyer, Vice-Rector for Community Service and Information Technology, and Dr. Waleed Al-Jandal, Dean of Deanship of Information Technology, and a number of the dignitaries of the deanship.Â
In statements while the reception gathering, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has clarified that, the new achievement attained by Deanship of Information Technology is an example to the technological and electronic development witnessing by the university and its units. He noted that, the university and its programs are often receive due care by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and the entire Saudi Government.
Continued his words, Dr. Aba Al-Khail has acknowledged the staunch efforts of the university Vice-Rectorate for Community Service and Information Technology, representing by Deanship of Information Technology. He praised the Deanship as it distinguishes by offering a bundle of excellence online services for all the university community. He, additionally, considered the attainment of the award as a sign of the technological advancement of the Deanship to the way that helps to achieve the designated goals.
From other side, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Saghyer has hailed the continued and sustained efforts and contributions of H.E. the University Rector to all the units of the university. He noted that, the received award is a reflection to the untired and unlimited support of H.E. the University Rector to all the activities and projects of the Vice-Rectorate and the Deanship.
In a similar vein, Dr. Waleed Al-Jandal has pointed out that, the received award is for Naqel Transportation Software, which initiated and launched by his administration recently. He added that, the involved services with the software is actually the reason behind attaining the award. He concluded his statements by noting that, his administration has made significant strides in its electronic systems, and achieved a number of important awards and this reflects the university technological development, which is became clear at all systems and online services offering.
It is worth to mention that, the Arab e-Government Excellence Award aims to highlight the achievements in the services of the Arab governmental organizations in light of the sustained technological development in the public sector all around the world, and the gradual transition from online services to the smart services. It holds annually through the Pan Arabic Excellence Award Academy. It aims to encourage creativity in designing websites and Web pages, applications, systems and smart services for the Arabic Governments.
