Within the framework of the efforts of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in supporting and promoting entrepreneurship at the university, which comes within the objectives of the university's strategic plan 2021-2025, emanating from the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University signed a cooperation agreement with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monshaat", represented by Her Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Sawsan bint Abdul Karim Al-Momen, while the second party, "Monshaat", was represented by His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Monsha'at for Entrepreneurship, Mr. Saud bin Khalid Al-Sabhan, on Friday, 10/3/2023 AD, within the activities of Biban 23 Forum.

The agreement aims to provide various programs that encourage and promote entrepreneurship at the university, including launching initiatives to support and develop small and medium enterprises, spreading awareness of entrepreneurship, and enabling male and female students and university employees to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into existing projects, by benefiting from programs, incubators and business accelerators.

​​The activities of the Career Week concluded today, Thursday, 5/11/1444 AH, which was organized by Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in cooperation with the Riyadh Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, where it was opened by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, on Monday morning and lasted for four consecutive days, two days for male students and two days for female students in the university's conference building.

The team of female students of the College of Computer and Information Sciences at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University won the first place in the NEOM Artificial Intelligence Challenge, which is one of the initiatives of the World Summit on Artificial Intelligence that was dedicated to Saudi university students in coordination with the Ministry of Education and partnership with NEOM and SDAYA.

Approximately 400 male and female students at various university levels from 39 Saudi universities participated in the challenge, who contributed to strengthening the city of the future "NEOM" with innovations aimed at creating a sustainable environment in three vital areas that represent the challenge paths: energy, entertainment, and transportation, where the team was crowned in the center The first is about the transportation path of the “Barq” project, which is based on the automated drone system for delivery services, which is based on a decentralized algorithm for distributing tasks.

The team made up of university students are: Al-Reem Al-Mukhraj, a master’s student in computer science at the university and a bachelor’s graduate from it. She worked at GOSI, then a teaching assistant in the Department of Computer Science at the university. Her graduation project is in the Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence on building algorithms and a simulation environment for search and rescue drones, and Munira Al-Yahya, a recent graduate with first honors She is from the Department of Computer Science at the university and is currently working as an artificial intelligence developer in a control company. The idea of ​​the project was to form an intelligent transportation fleet based on the employment of drones, so that it transfers requests from its center to the desired location so that the drones communicate with each other without human intervention. The drone's itinerary, organizing the distribution of tasks performance among the drones, the weight of the drone's payload and battery consumption.

The team excelled in creating a seamless and sustainable system for mobility at the highest levels, contributing to achieving leadership by creating integrated solutions, as many companies have started to launch delivery experiences by drones, as they reduce friction between humans and make the delivery process easier and faster.

This challenge comes within the framework of SDAYA's efforts to unlock the full value of data as a national wealth, and to achieve the aspirations of Vision 2030 and global leadership in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, in addition to its role in raising awareness of artificial intelligence, promoting and encouraging continuous innovation in the field of artificial intelligence, and building National capabilities that contribute to creating innovative and unique solutions.
