The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk), organized a meeting for students of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University to introduce and register Misk programs for the community that support youth, including Misk Incubator for Initiatives, in order to build a successful career by mastering the skills required in the labor market, encouraging learning and developing students' leadership skills, on Tuesday evening, March 14, 2023, via the ZOOM platform.

The Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) supports the empowerment of Saudi youth in two areas, education and entrepreneurship as a core field, and science and technology as a supporting field, through designing programs and building partnerships to support efforts in building an advanced knowledge-based society, and seeks to achieve these goals to invest and develop intellectual capital and unleash the energies of youth through a variety of incubators, in pursuit of achievement and added value for the Saudi society.

The Misk Vocational Preparation Program offers a number of training courses and direct workshops in the most promising fields, to hone the skills required for the future of the labor market, and the program aims to enable students to acquire and develop basic skills, so that they can keep pace with the continuous changes and trends in the future labor market, to distinguish themselves from others and increase their professional opportunities, God willing.

The meeting began with Dr. Amjad Al-Janbaz (Director of Misk Incubator for Initiatives), and talked about the initiative, which targets non-profit youth initiatives that have not yet been officially registered in multiple fields, then touched on the Misk tracks, which are four tracks: (skills, leadership, society, and leaders), in order to achieve profits, whether they are for-profit companies, social investment, or non-profit organizations, then he went on to talk about the steps of launching the initiative, what is Misk Incubator for Initiatives, and the conditions for entering an incubator Misk for initiatives, the five areas of focus, the content of the Misk Incubator Program for Initiatives, what to offer after graduation, and at the end of the meeting, he answered and responded to students' inquiries.


​​The activities of the Career Week concluded today, Thursday, 5/11/1444 AH, which was organized by Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in cooperation with the Riyadh Chamber under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, where it was opened by His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, on Monday morning and lasted for four consecutive days, two days for male students and two days for female students in the university's conference building.

The exhibition aims to introduce graduates and students expected to graduate this year with the qualifications and jobs available in the labor market and enhance their professional work culture, and also helps students to choose the most appropriate job for their skills and talents and activate cooperative training programs while building local partnerships between the university and government and private agencies in the fields of employment and training in addition to increasing the employment rate among university graduates. The exhibition is distinguished by the fact that it included nearly 40 diverse employers, including Med Gulf, Zahid Group of Companies, Sawaeed Business Services Company, Sinomi Company, Care Stores and other government companies and institutions, where it contributes to providing nearly 900 jobs covering all disciplines, in addition to 17 face-to-face and remote training courses related to professional skills, 8 advisory sessions and 7 research posters.

For her part, Dr. Ohood bint Othman Al-Manea, Vice Dean of Student Affairs for Female Student Affairs at King Abdullah City, stressed that it is our responsibility as a university to qualify graduates for the current and future labor market, as well as linking them to the government and private sectors to introduce them to the available job opportunities and training programs that contribute to their professional preparation to achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in localizing jobs, empowering women and optimal investment in human capital. For her part, Shouq Mubarak from Enaya Stores Company expressed her happiness with the introduction of her company and providing the opportunity for male and female job seekers, with the organization and turnout of female students, as the number of registered students reached 114 students.

The Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship holds a series of introductory meetings in a number of colleges at the university to introduce the Deanship and its various services, programs and activities, which last for two weeks, these meetings aim to introduce the services, programs, activities and initiatives provided by the Deanship, and highlight the different roles of the Deanship in supporting and encouraging students to innovate and develop their ideas and entrepreneurial projects, and raise awareness of intellectual property rights, and this meeting is co-presented by Her Excellency the Dean of the Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Sawsan bint Abdul Karim. The first of these introductory meetings was launched on Monday 12/2/1445 AH, corresponding to 28/8/2032 AD, which was held at the College of Social Sciences for students in the Great Hall of the Faculty, and for female students remotely via live broadcast, the second meeting directed to the employees of the College of Arabic Language was held on Tuesday 13/2/1445 AH, corresponding to 29/8/2023 AD, remotely via the (Zoom) platform. The third introductory meeting was held on Wednesday 14/2/1445 AH, corresponding to 30/8/2023 AD, directed to the employees of the Applied College remotely via the (Zoom) platform, and the fourth meeting was held at the College of Mass Communication on Monday 19/2/1445 AH corresponding to 4/9/2023 AD for students in the hall listed in the college, and for female students remotely via live broadcast, and also the fifth introductory meeting was held on the same day, which is directed to the employees of the College of Science remotely via the (Zoom) platform.

The Deanship of Innovation and Entrepreneurship intends to hold the sixth introductory meeting directed to the employees of the College of Engineering on Tuesday 20/2/1445 AH corresponding to 5/9/2023 AD at Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Tuwaijri Hall, and also on the same day, the seventh introductory meeting directed to the employees of the College of Education and the eighth meeting directed to the employees of the College of Medicine will be held remotely via the (Zoom) platform, and on Wednesday 21/2/1445 AH corresponding to 6/9/2023 AD, the ninth introductory meeting directed to the employees of the College of Economics and Administrative Sciences will be held remotely via the (Zoom) platform.

It should be noted that these introductory meetings come within the framework of the Deanship's efforts to achieve the university's vision in promoting and spreading the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and developing innovations and pioneering projects that serve the community and contribute to achieving innovative and pioneering outputs that enhance the knowledge economy and achieve sustainable development. The Deanship continues to receive appointments commensurate with the rest of the colleges to introduce them and their services and activities.

Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monshaat", held the third training camp within the awareness program to spread the culture of entrepreneurship at the headquarters of the Imam University Business Incubator (Al-Imam Cloud), during the period 16-20 Rabi' Awal 1445 AH corresponding to 1-5 October 2023 AD. The camp aims to build and crystallize entrepreneurial ideas, and work to develop and equip them to build the initial business model, through a practical methodology directed to the owners of ideas and work teams of male and female students and university employees in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The camp included (5) specialized training courses, the launch was entitled "Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship", which aimed to explain the concept of entrepreneurship, who is an entrepreneur, the benefits of entrepreneurship, and other axes. On the second day, a course entitled "Design Thinking" was carried out, which aimed to identify the concept of design thinking and its importance, how to build the appropriate project, and how to analyze problems, generate solutions and innovate. The third day included a course entitled "Business Model (BMC)" which aimed to determine the way the organization creates, achieves and benefits from value, in addition to determining how to produce and present the product to the customer. On the fourth day of the camp, a course entitled "Prototype (MVP)" was presented, where the prototype in entrepreneurship is an important process of learning, verification and review to build a product that the target targets want in the fastest time, lowest cost and effort, while following up on the development and modification of the product, until the success of the project is proven, and an important share in the market is obtained. On the fifth and last day, a course entitled "Project Presentation Skills" was presented, which aims to prepare the participants to present their projects by the end of this day, which is the end of the camp, which concluded with the evaluation of the ideas and projects of all participants by the jury at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and Monsha'at, through which (5) projects were selected out of (16) participating projects, and the results were as follows:

1- The first candidate: the student Yazid Abdullah Al-Faham - College of Science (Department of Physics) in his project "Armarm"

2- The second candidate: Amira Farhan Al-Enezi - College of Business (Banking Department) in her project "Jojo Fashion"

3- The second candidate repeated: the student Abdullah Al-Zeer - College of Medicine (Department of Surgery) in his project "planet Z"

4- The third candidate: Ms. Hanan Manahi Al-Mutairi - College of Arts at Princess Nourah University in her project "Smart Market"

5- The fourth candidate: Rahaf Al-Mutairi - College of Social Sciences (Department of Psychology) in her project "Ezhlni"

Where they were nominated to enter the pre-incubation program, which aims to transform these ideas into prototypes, to be prepared for the incubation stage at the university's business incubator (Sahibat Al-Imam), where all participants compete to find the best prototypes, present them in front of the jury on the day of the final presentation (Day Pitching), and win financial prizes worth (25,000 riyals) for the first three.

The Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and supervisor of the establishment of the awareness program to spread the culture of entrepreneurship at the university, Dr. Sawsan bint Abdul Karim Al-Momen, praised the effective cooperation between Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University and the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monshaat", in order to achieve, God willing, the aspirations of the wise leadership in encouraging and promoting entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University, in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monshaat", launched the second phase of the awareness program to spread the culture of entrepreneurship in the main lobby of the university city, on Tuesday 24/10/2023 AD, and the program is within the university's strategic goals 2025, which aims to spread the culture of innovation, entrepreneurship and self-employment, and from the principle of cooperation and joint work between the university, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, and national institutions related to entrepreneurship.

The President of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Dr. Sawsan bint Abdul Karim Al-Momen, confirmed that the launch of the second phase of the program resulted in the establishment of many programs and events aimed at creating an entrepreneurial society, by spreading the culture of entrepreneurship among the university's employees in particular, and the universities of the Riyadh region in general, over a period of twenty-four months, in order to raise the level of entrepreneurial awareness, stimulate innovative ideas, increase their efficiency, and crystallize them, to be initial business models, capable of entering and competing in the local market.

Dr. Sawsan added that the establishment of this program in partnership with Monsha'at comes from the belief in the joint role of enhancing the entrepreneurship system, and within the framework of the keenness of Al-Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University to achieve the objectives of its strategic plan in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Sawsan indicated that the university seeks, through this program, to promote and encourage entrepreneurship among the university's employees, and to encourage their innovative ideas to be entrepreneurial projects, indicating that the program included a variety of events, including the implementation of a series of meetings for entrepreneurs, which includes hosting entrepreneurs, to present their live experiences, and their success stories, and to discuss the opportunities and challenges they faced, to benefit from them, and the implementation of four training camps, through which registration is opened for university employees in particular, and other universities in Riyadh in general. With the aim of helping participants to build and crystallize their ideas, develop them, and prepare them, to build a prototype, through a practical and directed methodology, and the implementation of an eight-week pre-incubation program, which aims to transform ideas into prototypes, to prepare them for the incubation stage in the university's business incubator (Imam Cloud), where all participants compete to find the best prototypes, present them to the jury on the closing day of the presentation (Pitching Day), and win financial prizes for the top three winners, in addition to Holding interactive competitions, in which the university's employees, whether individuals or teams, participate to motivate them in innovative ways to generate ideas and find pioneering solutions, and then honor the first three winners in each competition with financial prizes.

Dr. Sawsan pointed out that this program, along with its counterpart from the multiple and diverse programs implemented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, will contribute - God willing - to promoting entrepreneurship among the university's employees, and encouraging their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects, in order to achieve the aspirations of our wise government under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz - may God protect him - and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - which provided all forms of support. Unprecedented for innovators and entrepreneurs, believing in their role in building a vibrant and diversified economy, achieving the aspirations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030.

Dr. Sawsan indicated that with the culmination of the launch of the second phase of the awareness program to spread the culture of entrepreneurship this year with the Entrepreneurs Ceremony, which includes an exhibition of entrepreneurs' products and projects, the university, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and in partnership with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises, is working on more targeted programs, including the University Startup Accelerator Program, which was launched this week, and which will continue for six months, and is the first university accelerator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, funded by From the Vision Realization Office, within the Human Capacity Development Program.

The launch ceremony included a dialogue session with entrepreneurs, in addition to an exhibition accompanying the presentation of entrepreneurs' projects and products, food trucks (mobile vending), and meetings with entrepreneurs.

The Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in cooperation with the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monsha'at", implemented the "University Startup Business Accelerators" program, where the number of registered projects reached (90) projects, and after matching the criteria (liquidation stage), (40) projects were selected to enter the first arbitration stage, which ended with the qualification of (25) projects.

The preparatory week of the program was launched at the headquarters of the Imam University Business Incubator "The Imam Cloud", starting from Sunday until Thursday 7-11/4/1445 AH, and the program plan included preparing the participants and introducing them to the concept of entrepreneurship and the importance of innovation and developing business ideas by providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary to analyze the market in the field of accounting, finance, sales, marketing and other related fields through events, workshops and orientation sessions, where the participants and their startups were identified, and introduced to the program in general The preparatory week concluded with the selection of (20) projects out of (25) projects during the second judging phase.

Events, activities and workshops continued in the first week of the program, which was held from Sunday to Thursday 14-18/4/1445 AH, where on the first day a workshop was presented on the work plan, and on the second day the participants visited the Saudi Business Center, and the visit aimed to know the services provided to entrepreneurs at the center that contribute to facilitating procedures for their business, and on the third day a workshop was held on achieving the idea of the project and the appropriate way to find customers, study the market and ensure the market's need for service, and the two days were allocated The last two to provide advice in the fields of accounting and financial and in the field of legal advice, and business model consultations, and the program will stop during the current testing period to return on 12/5/1445 AH.

It is worth noting that the university startup accelerator program is held over a period of six months, including three months in attendance (accelerator program) at the headquarters of the business incubator (Imam Cloud), and three months virtually (post-accelerator program), with the aim of supporting entrepreneurial projects for employees of Saudi universities, developing their capabilities and enhancing their growth in the market, and the program provides direct and electronic services, in addition to providing the necessary resources and service and financial grants to the owners of startups, to develop their capabilities, enhance their growth in the market, and improve their attractiveness for investment. Improving its organizational structure and competitiveness to become startups capable of growth, expansion and sustainability, by providing many services, including service and financial grants, providing workshops and advisory sessions from local and international experts, linking with investors and funding bodies and other services.

Based on the strategic plan of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, which stressed that the university will contribute to providing competitive outputs and enable students to contribute effectively to the construction process in our dear homeland. The Career Guidance Center was established to provide career guidance and guidance services and training programs for the students of the university, taking into account the continuous acceleration in the pace of innovation and the role of the university as an educational edifice in achieving alignment, work and response to the future workforce by increasing their ability to integrate into the labor market in the The technological acceleration on the one hand, the sustainability of the learning process, the response to the labor market and the integration within the work environment on the other hand.

The Career Counseling Center seeks to equip students with the skills necessary for future changing jobs with the artistic, economic, cultural and social influences that enable them to compete in the labor market.

The objectives and services of the Center have enhanced the University's response to the higher directions of the State by preparing students to invest in the opportunities available to participate in the process of economic development, and to achieve the University's vision of excellence in education, scientific research and the dissemination of knowledge in the service of the homeland, Islam and humanity.

With the help of Allah, the Career Guidance Center for Students at the Deanship of Admission and Registration was inaugurated on Thursday 19/05/1443H corresponding to 23/12/2021G, one of the initiatives of the strategic plan of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University 2025, which will contribute to achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in terms of ensuring the alignment of learning outcomes with the needs of the labor market as well as improving the readiness of young people to enter the labor market. 

The center provides vocational and career guidance and qualification services to male and female students in accordance with the requirements of the labor market, in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the university's outputs. These services include optimal CV writing, counseling sessions, job interview skills development as well as many services related to career and career counseling.

The Center also works to establish community partnerships with several training bodies in order to establish specialized training courses in career guidance, workshops and seminars, which are announced periodically through the Center's website.

In conclusion, I and the colleagues of the Center's staff are working hard to achieve the goals of the Center, the Deanship and the University and its future visions and excellence in the provision of services.

The Deanship of Admission and Registration announced on Thursday 19/05/1443H corresponding to 23/12/2021 AD the opening of the Career Guidance and Employment Support Center, which is one of the initiatives of the strategic plan of Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University 2025, which aims to develop the skills of the student in line with the professions of the future and in a way that enhances the competitiveness of the university's outputs and meets the requirements of the labor market. Dr. Fahad Al-Ammar explained that thanks to God and his success, and then with the support of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, and careful follow-up from His Excellency the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Sulaiman bin Sulaiman Al-Anqari, and thanks to the efforts of the work team, the basic equipment related to the center was completed, where the preparation of the regulations of the center, the processing of male and female employees, the preparation of training bags, and the website were completed. His Excellency the Dean of the Center for Employment and Entrepreneurial Services Dr. Sawsan Al Momen explained that obtaining the license of imam university incubators means that it can obtain the facilities provided by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises and its partners from government or private entities, which is primarily beneficial to the pioneers and entrepreneurs of students, graduates and graduates of the university, added Dr. Sawsan al-Mumen that the Authority has required to obtain the license of business incubators a number of procedures and requirements, which included the submission of a plan Work includes feasibility study, description of the activity of the business incubator and its services, identification of the target sectors and the policy of the incubator in the acceptance and graduation of beneficiaries, the capacity of the number of beneficiaries, and its adoption from the Authority, in addition to an engineering drawing and description of the interior design between the office and the areas and common places, and the plan of periodic self-evaluation and external procedures of the business incubator and beneficiaries.

Dr. Sawsan al-Momen thanked the SME Authority for their efforts in supporting entrepreneurship and SMEs.

She also thanked The Director of Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University, a member of the Senior Scholars Committee, Dr. Suleiman Abba al-Khayel, for his support and direct support for the advancement of the services provided by the Centre in various fields, and praised the efforts of H.E. The Deanship of Admission and Registration, represented by the Center for Career Guidance and Communication with Alumni, participated in the Career Week, which is organized by Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in partnership with the Riyadh Chamber under the slogan "Career Week is your way to your career", which was launched on Monday 15/10/1443 AH under the patronage of the Amir of Riyadh Province His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and was inaugurated by His Excellency the President of Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed bin Salem Al-Ameri, which aims to introduce graduates With the qualifications and jobs available in the labor market, and activating cooperative training programs with the building of local partnerships and in order to achieve the aspirations of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The participation of the Career Guidance and Outreach Center with Alumni aims to provide career guidance services to university students to help them make sound career decisions in line with their scientific specializations, abilities and skills and in line with the opportunities available in the labor market, in addition to providing them with sufficient flexibility and the necessary experiences that make them able to face potential developments and changes in their careers.

This week was accompanied by a number of training courses held by the Center entitled (Professional Certificates) presented by Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Mansour, Assistant Professor of Management in the Department of Business Administration, as well as a training course entitled (Steps of Career Readiness) presented by the professional advisors at the Center, Mr. Omar Al-Omari and Mr. Sulaiman Al-Budaiya.

For his part, HE the Director of the Center, Dr. Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Ammar, explained that this participation comes within the framework of the Deanship's keenness to provide the best levels of academic and professional support and consultations, qualify graduates to be ambassadors of this prestigious university, and introduce its students and job seekers from visitors to the show of the services provided by the Centre in supporting sound professional decisions, and optimal guidance for the preparation of CVs, and the development of job interview skills. Introducing students to the appropriate functional areas for their specializations, in addition to activating communication channels between the Centre and university students, and training packages and workshops related to the professional fields offered by the Centre.

As part of the efforts of the Center for Career Guidance and Communication with Alumni for the students of the university, the Center held a training course (remotely) entitled (Professional Professional Certificates) on Sunday, 14/10/1443 AH, which targets the students of the university. The course was presented by H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Mansour, Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration at Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University. The course aimed to develop the information and skills of participants in professional professional certificates and their importance in the labor market, how to obtain them, and their link to the professional development of the student.

​Prof. Dr. Suliman Aba Al-Khail, Rector of Al-Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and Member of Saudi Senior Ulemas Council, has recently approved to establish the Investment Engineering Business Centre at College of Engineering to contributing actively in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030, says Dr. Saleh Abdullah Al-Saleh, Dean of College of Engineering, in statements recently.

Continuing his statement, Dr. Al-Saleh has said that, H.E. the University Rector’s approval is thanks to his trustworthy about the capabilities and contributions of the university, and his believe that the comprehensive development renaissance witnessing by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in all areas, requires the need to keep pace with effective executive steps at all levels.

On the role of the new established centre, Dr. Al-Saleh has pointed out that, it will provide engineering work, in all its fields, for the public and private sectors and individuals, including the engineering consultancy and technical studies. In addition to learning in various fields of engineering and training on specialized technical engineering topics, and applied computer programs in different engineering works and skills, as well as inspection, calibration and quality control.

Shedding more lights, Dr. Al-Saleh has clarified that, such multiple engineering contributions would be, Allah Willing, a great support to the Saudi strategic enterprises, both those that pertain to housing, energy, industry, water, environment and others. He added that, the nature of such engineering works would include generating the technical studies and the technical solutions to engineering problems and issues relating to planning, design, implementation and maintenance in various engineering projects, as well as raising the level of planning, design, implementation, supervision and maintenance.

Concluding his words, Dr. Al-Saleh has praised the continued efforts and contributions of H.E. the University Rector to bring success to the university and its affiliated academic entities as well.
